I've been blessed to be able to witness the Cherry Blossom Blooming Season around this period of time. The Month of April was an amazing month to go as it was met will cool breeze.
Nara is one of Japan's first capital city – such history and beauty in one spot, it is also home to the lovely wildlife deer, and they are absolutely human friendly (though I got headbutted! As you can see)
Nara is also home to local Temples and shrines

Tips for Feeding the Deer
- Hold one cracker at a time (do not show you have the full stack like I did)
- If you want to pet any deer, do it gently and look for those sleeping or sitting down (they are much easier to deal with)
- Some deer will bow if you Bow to them – they are generally train to this before they are fed the crackers.
- Beware some may bite and headbutt you.

Nakatanidou – Mochi Pounding Session live
- In this video I visited this shop and tried some of the fresh mochi they made. (They are absolutely warm, soft and has great texture.
- I highly recommend trying this for the experience to see how they make it and really to taste a fresh mochi here in Nara
Other Food Places to Try in Nara:
- Gram Café (in Tokyo or Osaka they are generally quite busy with queue – so if you are lucky you may be able to treat yourself to their famous Jiggling Pancake)

Osaka Castle
This was another place I visited – rich in culture and history, to get inside Osaka Castle it will cost you around 600 yen
But you can enjoy the castle precinct without needing to pay unless you want to explore the castle
Probably one of the best place to do Hanami (or picnic under a tree) during the cherry blossom season
It is also a fantastic place to take video and photo (Day and Night time)
One of my recommended places to go regardless of Season.
