I've been blessed to be able to witness the Cherry Blossom Blooming Season around this period of time. The Month of April was an amazing month to go as it was met will cool breeze. During this trip I visited Nara one of Japan's first capital city - met with wonderful wildlife deer, they are absolutely human friendly (though i got headbutted!! - you'll see that in another upcoming episode! ). Osaka is a great place to visit if you are a foodie like me or simply are into a more modernized city like tokyo.
The area of Dotonbori is highly recommended. Osaka Castle for amazing Cherry Blossom Viewing (if you are there at the right timing).
If you are after a history and a city with traditional flavour then visit Kyoto.
If you are after the beautiful lush green nature then head to:
Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Grove (best to come at break of dawn 6am - for photo). or for the Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari Taisha) famous for its torii gates you see on instagram
