Our last day in Tokyo started off at Gotokuji Temple to admire the THOUSANDS of lucky cats (maneki neko) which has said to have originated from this town. This was definitely a hidden gem outside the busy hustle and bustle of Tokyo. For breakfast we indulged in the super fluffy soufflé Japanese pancakes at ‘A Happy Pancake’ at Ikebukuro. With several branches all over Japan, we would definitely recommend trying this especially if you have a sweet tooth.
We then headed over to Takashimaya Nihonbashi (5F east) to eat at the Pokemon Café! Although a bit pricey it was a really fun experience and you get to see a special appearance of Chef Pikachu! Make sure to make a reservation beforehand to make sure you don’t miss out. We made a reservation a month in advance.
For those wanting to try ramen but have dietary restrictions, T’s TanTan located in Tokyo Station (Keiyo Street) has many vegan/vegetarian options!
We finished our last night in Tokyo with delicious Tempura Udon and Soba at Watanabe and Cheese Soft Serve Cone at Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory.
