Woke up at 4 am to line up for 3 hours to eat sushi at the Tsukiji fish market. We ate at a restaurant called Sushidai. All of those who actually know me, know that before I came to Japan I hated all seafood and everything it stands for. Now, after living a year and a half in Japan, I am able to tolerate it. In some very rare cases, I am actually able to enjoy it. This was one of those times. I knew that if there was any place to enjoy sushi, it would be found in the Tsukiji fish market. I definitely pushed the boundaries of what I am comfortable eating, but I found most of what I ate pleasantly enjoyable. The Otoro (fatty) tuna was by far my favourite. Would I wake up at 4 am and line up for 3 hours to eat it again? Hell no! However, it was once in lifetime experience for me and I am glad I did it.
