On my first night in Osaka I went to check out Dotonbori, which is a popular food and entertainment spot in the city.

Osaka is nicknamed the "Nation's Kitchen" - and Dotonbori lives up to that reputation. But, since it's a little touristy I probably payed a premium.

I didn't care one bit. It had everything I wanted and it was all incredible. The stalls were serving up some of my favourite things, like takoyaki, grilled crab legs, Kobe beef and of course, sushi.

The atmosphere was awesome. Neon lights flashing everywhere, the smell of food in the air. Not going to lie, walking up and down the main walking street was a challenge. I couldn't control my excitement or, my impulsiveness.

One of the major reasons I came to Japan was for the food and this was a great start.
