Tokyo Tower - 東京タワー - 4K Ultra HD : Too often compared to the Eiffel Tower of Paris, Tokyo Tower is in fact a big, fancy communication (TV and Radio) tower built in 1958. Indeed, as soon as the NHK started to broadcast TV in 1953, a large broadcasting tower needed to be built in order to cover the entire region.

Tokyo Tower is thinner than the Eiffel Tower, but 13 meters taller with a total height of 333m. For over half a century, it has been the pinnacle of Tokyo and the only best place to enjoy a unique view of the region thanks to its two observation decks (at 150m and 250m). Unfortunately for this beautiful piece of engineering, that withstood many major earthquakes, Tokyo Tower was deemed many years ago as unsuitable for covering the need for TV stations to broadcast digital signals. Also it has to share the hall of fame of Tokyo’s tallest structure with another Tower : Tokyo Skytree with a stunning height of 634m.
