Yamanashi is a beautiful region blessed richly with nature in central Japan. The views of Mt.Fuji and Fuji Five lakes area, and the moutain view of the Southern Alpes and Yatsugatake moutain range are absolutely picturesque.
Yamanashi is also known as the “Fruits Kingdom” of Japan, and produces good-quality wine made from the Yamanashi original Koshu grape.

There are events such as the Guinness record holding as the largest samurai parade Shingen-ko Festival in every April. This annual festival celebrates the virtues of one of the most famous Samurai in Japan and Yamanashi native Takeda Shingen.
Spring time is spectacular. Take in the sights of the world famous view of Mt.Fuji peaking from behind blooming cherry blossoms with the five-storied pagoda, and the Kofu Basin carpeted with blooming pink peach blossoms.

Yamanashi also has many historical and cultural heritage sites, from ancient and medieval remains, to temples, shrines and old homes.
Yamanashi has also been famous since ancient times as a source of rock crystals, and it produces more jewelry than anywhere else in Japan thanks to its superior grinding techniques.
