Chofu Garden was once a family residence of Nishi Yukinaga, a high-ranking vassal to the head of the Mori clan, during Japan’s Edo era.

Located on the ridge of a low-lying mountain, the garden is 31,000㎡ sites with a pond in the center, surrounded by a tea house, choreography room and summer house. The garden retains its tranquil atmosphere to this day.

Chofu Garden is well-known as a garden with natural beauty, featuring diverse plants including Lotus, Cherry blossom, Pine, Rhododendron, Sweet Osmanthus, Maple, and Japanese Iris, as well as boasting a waterfall and a brook flowing towards the pond.
